Kind of sad in Texas though isn't it - the state went for McCain. But yeah I figured *you'd* be a little excited... ;^P

Not really Tiny; if you lived in Dallas you wold feel different. The city is elated:

(1) Obama almost won Dallas, he led by 60% for the most of the night and wound up 47%; when I was sophemore in highschool I worked by ass off for McGovern and we wno a whopping 18% of the county! that was the fist time I got drunk.

(2)all my life Dallas has been the republican strong hole of Texas, this is the second election in a row the city government is all Democrat! The press has now proclaimed the county a democrat strong hole for the state! This has not been the case at any time in my iife. Dallas was a rep stronghold even when the Texas was part of the Dem's solid south.

(3) The hispanic female Sherrif Lupe Valdez won re-election handily. and her's was the point race for the Dems in the county, they figured she led the way on the new Dem admin for Dallas and they saw her re-election as a borometer of the Dem strength in the county.
She's had a lot of problems and the jails kept failing inspections so they expected her to lose but she wont by a wide margin!

for a life long Dallas resident it was really damn good evening all things considered.

(4) Icing on the cake, "Paw Paw lost!"

Paw Paw (Kim Brimer) is a GOP state senator. Even though dem opponent ran a totally dirty campaign, he's not so great himself. His tv commercials had his grand kids going "He's my Paw paw." So all last night I was going "paw paw is losing!"

Hi Metacrock! Thanks for stopping by my place. I have been wondering about you. What's up? How's Ray? (((JH))))

Yeah, obviously *goliath* is a mental *giant* since he obviously could see past your celebratory post for Obama's victory as well as your long and clear record of posting left-leaning political positions. It is an indicator of what you have been seeing with some of the "less gifted" atheists Joe. I am guessing he figures you are a Christian so you must be against Democrats (even though Obama is also a Christian), so therefore you must be upset that McCain lost. The clear evidence to the contrary makes no difference to the simplistic association and stereotype. Of course, it could be that this was simply posted to the wrong blog, but that seems unlikely.

hey Tiny I always sing the old democrat theme song "Happy days are here again" when I'm antry about democrats winning elections. Very ingslightful of Go-LIE-ath to see that.

Heh, heh.

Do you mind if I have the satisfaction of saying "I told you so"? (cheesy grin) No conspiracy, no stolen election! I know you're as glad as I am, Joe my friend.

The American people have spoken, and I believe this move to the left is once again a mandate to push the country back towards the center.
