An article on atheist watch "when Atheists call Religion Superstition." See how the concept that religion is superstitious really goes back to the English Churchmen known as "latitudinarians" and they mistake they made in promoting Newtonian science.
On Atheist Watch
I think it is tragic when a person 'invests' his whole life in one book--ANY one book. But it's even worse when THE one book is of very dubious origins & content. My heart goes out to those people who were 'suckered into' this, usually by parents. Parents who were similarly deceived.

ReplyDeleteI've read a lot more books than you have. I was a Ph.D. student and I've read thousands of books you don't know anything about. Most atheists are not well read. Most atheist don't know shit about literature or philosophy or anything intellectual. Atheists tend to be computer people so all they read is computer stuff.
My grand read more than you. She was a bible thumper from another age but i would put her reading list up against yours any day.

I have read the NT in Greek. I wonder if you even know it was written in Greek?

You are so ignorant. like most atheists you have done no research at all on the true nature of religion or why people believe it. I just finished writing a book about religious experience and I bet you haven to read one single word of research. pretentious cretins who want to pat themselves on the back for their version of intellectuality, I pity you.
I really enjoy your vicious attacks on my comments. Joe, you cannot possibly have any conception of how many or what sort of books I have read over the last seventy five plus years. Hell, I doubt if I could come within hundreds myself. You simply strike out blindly at anyone who isn't a zealot of the 'same stripe' you are. That's pathetic. And that's the KINDEST thing I could say in reference to your diatribes. You really should THINK before attacking people who are in disagreement with you. You only appear ridiculous when you do this. It really is a pity that you have wrapped your life around a book of weird fairy tales gathered from all over the middle east & India from their mythology 2-3,000 years ago. The collection of these fables seem to cover some very 'sick'peoples imaginations. What a pity they weren't all lost in the burning of the library at Alexandria. The world would be so much more advanced than it is.
