I pray that God will grant rationality and compassion to all leaders in all sides of the mid east conflict, to stop the war.
I pray this in all the names that people use to adress the object of ultiamte concern (for me that's Jesus) but I join with all people of faith and human decenency, religious or not, in seeking these ends.
I do not agree, as I will not pray to any god of any kind.
ReplyDeleteThat's why I included "seeking these ends." Joining with decent people in seeking these ends. If you don't believe in prayer, we can still work for peace poltiically.
ReplyDeletePeace? It would take a miracle.
ReplyDeleteI agree.
that's why I wanted to pray about it.
ReplyDeleteMeta, I'm glad you're praying publicly for peace. I've been praying privately, but what you're doing encourages more prayer.
ReplyDeleteI've been so dismayed with Israel in this particular conflict, that honestly, praying for peace is not coming as easily as anger and the desire that the fighting be stopped through (nonviolent) intervention, and (nonviolent) confrontation if necessary, because I have little hope that the warring parties can come to their senses without it.
I'm with you.
ReplyDeletethanks yall. I am not that hopeful either, but we have to beileve.
