He went to school with me, so he was in a hearing school, but he has been trained somehow. He had hearing aids so he would could hear somewhat he could read lips.Joseph Hinman (Metacrock)https://www.blogger.com/profile/06957529748541493998noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11516215.post-49470975246947500252014-04-30T11:57:51.010-07:002014-04-30T11:57:51.010-07:00BTW, there IS scientific proof of God.
I'm dea...BTW, there IS scientific proof of God.
I'm deaf. I have never heard a bird sing. In the past, the testimony of trained observers was accepted (and still is, for that matter.) This is a relationship founded on trust (faith, again!) and I can accept my hearing friends' testimony even if they argue with each other if bird squawks are considered singing.

This was one of the problems I had as an atheist: Christians were different in some strange way. In other words, if you show the Love of God (because you abide in Him, and He in you) then that is impressed in people's mind as a proof of God.muddleglumhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01394254712209466553noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11516215.post-23301748377147774712014-04-30T11:50:15.847-07:002014-04-30T11:50:15.847-07:00One other possibility is to point out to an atheis...One other possibility is to point out to an atheist that "scientific" evidence isn't the only kind: there is also the legal and historical evidence. Most of them don't understand and one can use that as a teaching moment. A few will allow themselves to learn and that builds a trust relationship (a.k.a. faith!)

As a one-time atheist I would suggest that the more a person exposes himself to truth, the more likely he will listen to Truth.muddleglumhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01394254712209466553noreply@blogger.com
