We are, to be sure, not rational all of the time (as economics has erroneously axiomatized), but Aristotle didn't mean we always deliberate in a logical manner. Rather, we have the potential for ratiocination (or to use the scholastic jargon, "in potency"). Heidegger thus built a strawman on a faulty reading of Aristotle.
