It's stupid. people are self righteous and like to blame others for their own mistakes. People on welfare are not living on the hog. they are barely getting buy. Now more people then ever are on it becuase of the times.Joseph Hinman (Metacrock)https://www.blogger.com/profile/06957529748541493998noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11516215.post-83924884650619609322012-10-10T10:57:17.583-07:002012-10-10T10:57:17.583-07:00Good post, Metacrock. I want to focus on this part:

Quote"Reagan wielded the phrase "welfare queens," and pushed a false view that most recipients were black, lazy and happy not to work. This helped galvanize a false sense among working-class whites that they themselves had never received government help on their way to the middle class. "I once blamed the conflict solely on wealthy capitalists and their politician-servants such as Nixon and [Pat] Buchanan," Walsh writes, "pitting the two groups at the bottom against each other." No more. Her own side, including the race-obsessed left, played, and plays, into this."Quote

That quote reminds me of a guy I know. He buys into the myth that is stated above. He has called FDR "Franklin Delanegro Roosevelt" in the past because of the welfare programs that started from his New Deal. He calls anyone on Welfare a Negro, even if they aren't black.

He also believes what they say about white people not getting help. In reality, though, a friend told me the majority of people on welfare are white single moms. They need that money to feed their baby. A lot of them probably have trouble finding a job or the time for one with kids.

Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
