Forensic League in high school, only I didn't do debate, but interpretation of poetry. <br /><br />I say that to say that there's much more to the human condition than the holding of facts in one's mind. To say one has no beliefs is to say one is not human, but something more like a rolodex or a computer chip. To be human is to love, to care about events, to place meaning on the world, and thus to have beliefs about things that are not mere facts.
