Here's how. Pick 8-10 major US cities. Run an Internet search for "temperature records for x" substituting the different cites for x. (Intellicast.com is a site that has the data very nicely organized, but there are plenty of other sites that will work). Divide the recorded period in half and then do this: see whether more record highs and record lows fall toward the beginning or the end of the temperature records. Predictions: If global temperature averages are not occurring at all (as some maintain - they says climate change is total BS and that there is no warming trend at all) then both high and low temperature records should be randomly distributed within the time period. If global warming is occurring, record lows should be more frequent toward the early end of the period, and record highs should be more frequent toward the end of the period.<br /><br />Try it and see for yourself. Warming is, in fact, occurring.<br /><br />This won't show that the warming is human-caused, but at least it counts against those who say there is nothing to explain at all.Eric Sotnakhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06162425851889399481noreply@blogger.com
