Any terms which you define elsewhere, they are not getting those definitions. It's important to define those terms so blog readers can come and read that one blog post and understand what you're talking about. Things like "religious experience," or "the human problematic," and similar terms, make no sense when viewed out of context.

If someone were to post here that they knew lots of people who had very negative experiences with religion-- it might be tempting to blame them for not getting what you mean by "religious experience," but without a definition to start with, people are going to define the term however it makes most sense to them.

Sorry to be a pest about it-- but I really just want to help, as you know, my friend.Kristenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08252374623355509404noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11516215.post-74506338338665091022009-06-06T20:19:10.574-07:002009-06-06T20:19:10.574-07:00I probably should overhaul my internet repository ...I probably should overhaul my internet repository of experience arguments. In writing the book I've ignored what's on my website.

That's not the kind of experince I'm talking about. I think we need a definition of "religious experience" that clearly differentiates from the "I am your spiritual leader; obey me or you will incur the wrath of God" kinds of experience.

When I was in a coercive religious group, I still experienced God; but I got that all tied up in my mind with obeying a bunch of rigid rules and giving lots of my money to preachers.Kristenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08252374623355509404noreply@blogger.com
